Midsummer Sasso series
We have created a Midsummer Sasso series. As an ode to the long evenings and early mornings we experience here in Berlin and Amsterdam (in the northern hemisphere). A series that radiates long rays of light and in which a special pink has been given the starring role: Sing it Back Pink. Indeed a pink named after Moloko’s 1998 song ‘Sing it Back (Bring it Back)’.

Sing it Back Pink
As we were printing, this pink kept popping up, kept lying on top of the pile, kept being labelled ‘Yes’ by us. Even when we were working with different colours of ink and on different tones of paper, this pink came back. She sang her way back, again and again.
It is therefore for us the colour of the midsummer light of 2023, the colour who sings back and brings back to us the longest day of the year. She’s the pink in the longest beam of light the sun has to give to the northern hemisphere. She brings it back to us, sings it back through our bodies. And all we can do, while being shone upon by her light is, stand, simply stand as if we are like:
‘fruit hanging ripe on the tree
And I feel useless
Don’t care what the truth is
You will be here come the day’
So, pink will be here comes the day.
